Key Features:

• Ideal for 'general purpose' hard-facing of earthmoving & ground-engaging implements
• Good abrasion resistance and moderate impact strength
• Typical hardness 53-56 HRC
• Tough weld deposit, suitable for parts subject to fatigue or flexing in service
• Free from relief checks (will not form cracks after welding)
• Easy to use & suitable for use with low OCV (open circuit voltage) welding machines (minimum OCV 45V)

Application Information:

• Wear Resistant, High Carbon Martensitic Steel Deposit
• Suitable for a wide range of applications including the surfacing of post hole augers, agricultural points, shares and tynes, grader and cultivator blades, etc.
• NOT recommended for: metal-to-metal wear

 Operating Information:

• Polarity: DC+ or AC+ (electrode +)
• Typical current range: 3.2mm 90-130A / 4.0mm 140-180A
• Positions: Horizonal / Flat
• Minimum recommended OCV (open circuit voltage): 45V
• To prevent dilution of hardness, avoid high current

 Other Information:

• Weld deposit is NOT machineable, unless with prior heat treatment
• Weld deposit IS grind-able
• Chromium content (Cr) 8%
