Wire - MIG Aluminium PROMAX 5356

Key Features:

• One of the most widely-used grades of aluminium wire
• For welding a wide range of 5xxx magnesium-bearing aluminium alloys
• Good corrosion, strength and crack resistance
• High shear strength
• Good wire strength & feedability

 Application Information:

• For welding cast and wrought aluminium alloys containing magnesium
• Welding 5xxx series alloys, including: 5052, 5083, 5086, 5154, 5251, 5356, 5454, 5456 materials
• Good colour match after anodizing with 5xxx base materials
• Not recommended for elevated service temperature applications (4043 may be a better choice for this application)

• All-positional
• Polarity: DC+ (Wire/torch positive, Earth negative)
• Shielding Gas: 100% Argon
• Wire brushing between each pass is recommended to ensure removal of surface oxide build up
