Application Information:

• Deposits 29% Cr / 9% Ni stainless steel type filler metal
• High strength & excellent resistance to hot cracking even under conditions of high dilution
• Commonly used for repair and maintenance welding of unknown &/or dissimilar steels
• Mild steel to stainless-steel
• Die or tool steel
• Suitable as a buffer layer prior to hard facing
• NOT recommended for cast iron

Operating Information:

• All welding positions, excluding vertical down
• Polarity: DC+ or AC+ (electrode +)
• Minimum recommended OCV (open circuit voltage): 45V
• Avoid high / excessive current
• Use straight "stringer" bead (rather than weave) technique
